As part of its efforts toward supporting the national HPC community in the Kingdom, The King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology represented by the Saudi Research & Innovation Network (Maeen) hosts (for a second time) Saudi High Performance Computing Conference in its 10th edition (HPC20).
Maeen network helps researchers reach valuable HPC resource with and outside the kingdom. It further offers a unified portal for researchers to use for a better experience working with national HPC grids.
Its worth mentioning that Maeen is a national research network parallel to the current internet, with high speeds of up to 10,000 Mbps, dedicated solely to support research and innovation within the Kingdom and helps researchers among others to benefit from related services by creating an appropriate environment for research and innovation at the level of The Kingdom in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
Maeen network also builds distinct partnerships with similar research networks around the world. Maeen interconnects now with the American Internet 2 and European Geant networks. For example, the link with the Internet 2 provides Maeen network members with connectivity to more than 90,000 academic institutions, 42 educational networks and 65 research networks, representing more than 100 countries around the world.
